So... I am scheduling an open Zoom-based forum on THURSDAY (April 2nd) at 2:00pm EST (US) for about an hour. I will talk for around twenty minutes about what I am trying to say in chapter 1 of Pauline Dogmatics/PD--"Jesus" (and how we know that he was and is God with us). I will then respond for a good chunk of time to any questions arising which you should ask in the chat room, which is part of the Zoom platform. My assistants will be monitoring this space and feeding your questions to me. (Microphones and video links at your end will please need to stay off so that we can manage the volume of participants.) If you all enjoy this session--or at least most of you--we can make this a weekly thing.
It would be a good idea to read said chapter 1 before the online discussion, and I see that PD is now selling for a massively discounted price on Amazon in the US. So maybe try to buy it here if you don't have a copy already. If you have no access to PD and no way of getting access, or cannot access it in time for our first session or two, please email Rev Jacob Breeze with your concerns: jacob@holyfamilyhtx.org. He will help you. And don't stay away if you don't manage to get the reading done in these troubled times. But do it if you can. You will get a lot more out of the session if you do. (That's a standard professorial line there.)
The sessions will be recorded and posted online both here and on Jacob's church's website ((https://www.holyfamilyhtx.org/), so you will still have a chance to dial in if you miss the first session, and to follow along even if the time zones don't work for you. My apologies to any interested Australians. We just couldn't make the timing work for both Africa and Australia, although I'm open to suggestions. All strength to you all in these challenging times, and I look forward to our first session together.
Check the Events here on Thursday for the link.
Grace and peace.
