[Phoebe indicates now with a gesture that three points are to be made:]
[1] 21 But now, independently of the Teachings of Moses, although attested to by Moses’s Writings, as well as by the Teachings of the Prophets, God’s deliverance has been set forth. 22 This great deliverance by God has been disclosed ‘through the faith’ of our Messiah, Jesus [see Habakkuk 2:4], and is understood by everyone who believes in him.
[2] For there is no fundamental difference between people: 23 everyone sins and lacks the shining immortality [that was originally gifted to us] from God, 24 and is released freely [from our current bondage] by the gift of God, through the liberation found within our Messiah, Jesus.
[3] 25God intended him to be a supreme conciliatory offering, ‘through [his] faith,’ which is to say, through his blood shed in death, ultimately to be the definitive proof of God’s delivering activity, as he releases us from the entanglements of our previous wrongdoing, 26 through the clemency that comes from God; it is [to reiterate] the definitive proof of his delivering action in the present moment. And in fact this results in God defining what the right way to act is—as he acts to liberate ‘through the faith’ of Jesus.
